How often should I run a background check on my applicants? 

The decision on how often to rescreen your applicants and volunteers is ultimately up to you and your organization, but we recommend that you rescreen your applicants once a year. Industry-standard for rescreening is once every two to three years. You may also want to consult your insurance, as they might have specific requirements for how often you rescreen your applicant.
